Textile.org Terms & Policies
These terms govern Textile.org coursework, lab notes, downloadable tooling, equipment, services, community exchanges, and account access.
Acceptance and eligibility
By using Textile.org, requesting documentation, joining a cohort, buying services, or participating in community exchanges, you agree to these Terms and any program-specific policies. Access is granted at Textile.org’s discretion and may be suspended or terminated for misuse, inaccurate account information, or security concerns.
Licenses and honest account use
Resources are licensed for personal learning or internal business use unless a separate written agreement says otherwise. You must accurately represent your student, unemployed, startup, small-business, or enterprise affiliation when registering or requesting access.
Contributions and conduct
When you share content, you grant Textile.org the right to host, display, analyze, and distribute it for operating and improving Textile Academy initiatives. Do not upload materials you lack permission to share, malicious code, export-controlled content, confidential client data, or third-party intellectual property.
Availability, warranty disclaimer, and liability
Textile.org may modify, suspend, or discontinue features, cohorts, datasets, tooling, or offerings without notice. Content, prototypes, equipment, and recommendations are provided as is and as available. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Textile.org disclaims implied warranties and limits liability to the amount paid for the specific offering at issue or USD $25, whichever is greater.
Privacy and telemetry
Textile.org may collect account data, engagement metrics, telemetry, uploaded assets, device identifiers, and approximate location to operate the platform, secure accounts, personalize curriculum, and improve programs. Data may be processed by vetted vendors, instructors, partner labs, or legal authorities when needed for operations or compliance.
Courses, rentals, hardware, and commerce
Courses, workshops, downloadable patterns, kits, circuit boards, rental equipment, and other goods may carry additional terms. You are responsible for safe use, installation, transport, storage, compliance, and return of borrowed or rented equipment. Your exclusive remedy for a product or service issue is replacement or refund at Textile.org’s discretion.
Governing law and updates
These Terms are governed by Washington law, with disputes brought in state or federal courts in Seattle, King County, Washington. Textile.org may revise these Terms by posting updates; continued use means acceptance of the updated Terms.
